TeamFit today announced the appointment of Amar Dhaliwal as TeamFit’s Chief Executive Officer. Amar brings more than 20 years of experience of the talent management industry gained delivering solutions to some of the world’s most respected and admired organizations. Amar was a co-founder of the learning management platform THINQ which was acquired by Saba Software in 2005. At Saba, he held many leadership roles including global responsibility for product strategy and development; cloud operations, professional services; education and customer support. Most recently, he was Saba’s Chief Evangelist.

“During a recent sabbatical, I had time to reflect on the insights gained from working with the talent leaders of some the world’s most innovative organizations and also the chance to talk to many people about that changing nature of work and the workplace,” said Dhaliwal. “I kept coming back to the same core problem. Despite the significant investments made in talent management systems over the years, the fact remains that most organizations still have little or no idea of the actual skills that they have in their workplace let alone across their extended talent networks. How could this possibly be? This is the problem that TeamFit is solving and that’s why I am excited to be here.”

As CEO, Amar will lead TeamFit through the next stage of its development as it brings products to market, grows user adoption, and finances its growth plans. He will work closely with TeamFit founder Steven Forth.

“Amar and I share a vision of the future of talent management. People should be empowered to develop their own skills and own the record of what they have accomplished. This is essential in the contingent or gig economy where all of us will work on many projects across many companies over our careers,” says Steven. “Together Amar and I have a deep knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work in talent management. We feel in our gut, it is time for a change.”

TeamFit is driving this change by delivering a platform where people and companies can gather their project experience and validate their real world skills to create an accurate, timely, and complete inventory of their capabilities. Complementing existing talent management and HR platforms, TeamFit supports team building for people inside and outside the company and uses big data to predict the odds of team success.
